Kevin Harris was born in Wantage and was a fiddle player for the side from about 1971 to 1979. He is very indebted to Joe Marns for what he taught him.
I remember how nervous I was the first time I had to play the fiddle without Joe Marns present. After the first dance, the dancers filed past me and one said "well played Kevin but a little fast", another one said it was "a little slow", and then the last one said "thanks Kevin that was just right"! After that I felt much more relaxed as I knew at least someone would always be satisfied!"
