The Mummers Play was performed at Faringdon, Wantage
and Childrey.
Money was donated to Dr Barnado's.

the play finishes with Old Father Beelzebub's Speech which,
for the very first time, was sold afterwards for the
princely sum of £5. Over £350 was raised for charity.
