As part of the Wantage Summer Festival, five local groups joined together to celebrate 1000 years of Oxfordshire with readings, music, dance and song.

The were the early music group Downwind, the Vale Islanders Historical Dance Group, the Domino Players, the Icknield Morris Men and folk group Pandemonium in the rustic setting of Lains Barn (Wantage).

The evening brought together and shared some of the rich folk tradition, and literature of the county, starting in earlier times and taking us up to the present day.

All profits were donated to the Wantage Nursing Home Charitable Trust
